Brief History Of Lead City University
Lead City University, Ibadan is owned by Eduserve Consult, an organization that has made significant strides in advancing education at both the tertiary and non-tertiary levels, particularly within Ibadan.
The University’s application to the National Universities Commission was filed in 2002. The Standing Committee on Private Universities (SCOPU) carried out verification and final assessment visits in August and September 2003. Following these visits, SCOPU concluded that the proprietor possessed sufficient capacity and resources to run a private university. As a result, the NUC Board granted the University approval to commence operations in December 2003, which was subsequently ratified by the Federal Executive Council on February 16, 2005.
Application Process For Lead City University
Interested applicants are required to download and fill out an application form, which should then be submitted to the Admissions Office along with the necessary documents and a processing fee of ₦10,500 (Ten thousand five hundred naira only), payable to Guaranty Trust Bank. Candidates who had not originally selected Lead City University as their preferred institution are also welcome to apply.

- JAMB slip indicating the preferred course and Lead City University as the first-choice institution (mandatory for Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Physiotherapy)
For Direct Entry Applicants (200 Level Entry) To Lead City University:
- International Baccalaureate, IJMB, or JUPEB certificate with a minimum of three ‘A’ Level passes (A, B, or C) in relevant subjects for professional courses, or at least two ‘A’ Level passes for other programmes
- O’Level certificate showing five credit passes
- A JAMB admission letter from a previous university
- A complete 100 Level academic transcript with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 for professional courses and 1.8 for all others

General Entry Requirements For Lead City University
The minimum admission requirement is a credit pass in five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained at the O’Level (GCE, SSCE, NABTEB, NECO, or equivalent) in no more than two sittings. Candidates holding additional qualifications such as a University Diploma, NCE, IJMB, OND, GCE A’Level, or a recognized professional certificate may be considered for 200 Level entry.
